FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about generating and using static QR codes.

Are static QR codes from QRBento free?

Yes. The static generators on QRBento are designed for free personal or business use, without an account or watermark.

Do QRBento QR codes expire?

Static QR patterns do not have a built-in expiration date. However, a linked website, WhatsApp number, map location, or other destination may change or stop working. QRBento does not host or maintain your linked destination.

Can I edit a QR code after printing it?

A static QR code cannot change its encoded contents after printing. To change the destination while keeping the printed code, you need a separately hosted redirect or dynamic QR service.

Does QRBento see my Wi-Fi password?

The static generator builds the QR code locally in your browser. The password does not need to be uploaded to QRBento for encoding. Anyone who receives the QR code can potentially recover and share the encoded password, so distribute it carefully.

Can I add a logo to the QR code?

Yes, but logos cover some data modules and can prevent scanning. QRBento applies high error correction when logos are used. Always test your code with several phones before printing.

Which format should I download?

Use PNG for screens, social posts and everyday documents. Use SVG for designs that may be resized or printed at different sizes, provided your design software supports SVG.

Will a colorful QR code scan?

Often, but not always. Keep the QR modules substantially darker than the background. Avoid low contrast, busy backgrounds, inverted colors and overly elaborate overlays.

Why does a calendar QR code open Google Calendar?

QRBento V1 shares an event through a Google Calendar template URL for practical compatibility. Scanners generally open it as a web link; adding an event may require an internet connection or account.

Can I print a QR code on a flyer or sign?

Yes. Retain its blank margin, use sharp artwork, size it for the viewing distance, and test a printed sample before ordering copies.

Do I have to install an app?

No. QRBento runs in a supported modern web browser. Most modern phone cameras can scan QR codes directly.

Can you guarantee every QR code will scan?

No. Camera quality, print size, damage, software support and network conditions vary. QRBento provides standards-oriented output, but you should verify scans on the devices your audience uses.

Can I use QRBento QR codes commercially?

You can use the generated static QR images for legitimate business purposes. You are responsible for destination content, compliance and having the right to use any uploaded logo or artwork.
